How to ask about the information we hold.

What you can ask for

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • delete your account and the information connected to it;
  • stop using your information in a way you object to, where the law gives you that right.

These requests cover the following information: Email address; Payment data; Account data (username, password hash, profile); Credentials for other websites the user connects; Service activity and usage records; Cookies and similar technologies; IP address, device and browser data; The note you write about who you are when you sign up.

How to make a request

  1. Write to [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject "Privacy request".
  2. Say what you are asking for. For deletion, include your username.
  3. We may ask you to confirm your identity so we do not give your information to someone else.
  4. We reply within the time the applicable law requires.

Requests by someone else

If an agent or a parent or guardian is making a request for you, they should say so and be ready to show they are authorized.

Information from children under 13

LessonDone is not for children under 13. If you believe someone under 13 has submitted personal information to us, you can ask us to delete it:

  1. Write to [email protected] with the subject "Child information".
  2. Tell us what you know: a username, an email address, or where the information was submitted. You do not need to send more personal information than that.
  3. We will find and delete the information, and reply to confirm when it is done.

Limits

We may keep some information where the law requires it or for a legitimate purpose such as preventing fraud or defending a legal claim. If we cannot fully act on a request we will tell you why.

Complaints

If you are not happy with how we handled a request, write to [email protected] and we will review it. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority where you live.
